The government of India has launched Aadhaar Payment App that is based on Unified Payment Interface (UPI). The Aadhaar Payment App is very simple, and you don’t have to download any Wallet apps or remember complex passwords.
The UPI app is very secure, and you don’t have to worry about security, passwords being stolen or account getting hacked. The Aadhaar Payment UPI App will fetch the user’s Aadhar card details and the linked bank account details.
Also, biometric scans (Retinal or Fingerprint) will be used by the merchants for further authentication. So, you can make the purchases and transactions directly using your Aadhar number with the help of UPI Aadhaar Payment App.
With the Aadhaar Payment app, there will be no convenience fee or transaction charges both for the customers and merchants.
Note: Make sure that you have linked your Bank account with your Aadhar card.
Aadhaar Payment App is available for both the consumers and merchants. The Consumer App is just like other UPI apps, but it is linked with your Aadhar card.
In Digital Wallets like Paytm, Freecharge, and Mobikwik, Both the consumer and merchant should have the App installed on their smartphone to transact the payments. But In the Aadhaar Payment App, customers don’t have to install the App on their smartphone to make payments.
