But, Can the people below 18 Years age can get a Jio Sim? The Simple answer is Yes. Normally, 18 Years is the legal age for anyone to Buy a new sim card.
But, you can still get a Jio Sim card even if you are a minor by submitting additional documents.
Steps to Get Jio SIM Card for people below 18 years age
Reliance had already announced that Students could avail extra 25% WiFi Data benefits on Jio Tariff Plans.
If you want to get a Jio 4G Student sim, you will have to provide Identity Card Proof issued by your college or university.
Along with College ID, you will also have to provide Identity and Adress Proof documents. Aadhar card is more than enough as the eKYC process is being implemented at most of the Reliance Digital and Xpress Mini stores.
If you are Under 18 years, You also have to provide the Identity proof of your Parent/Guardian which will ensure you are taking the new Jio Sim card under your parent’s supervision.
In Most cases, You Just have to submit your Aadhar card and your parent/guardian’s Aadhar card to get a new Jio SIM. Follow the Same steps even if you are 17 years old, 16 years old, 15 years old, 14 years old or 13 years old.
